February 2011
Trinitas Consulting won the most prestigious award of the day when they were announced the Marketing Organisation of the year in the category medium enterprises at the SME Premier Marketing Awards. The award finals were held on 24 February at Gallagher Estate.
Trinitas Consulting have been able to maintain a 100% growth year-on-year, since they opened their doors in 2006. Frances Wright, CEO of Trinitas Consulting says: “We are delighted and speechless to have been recognised for our unique approach to marketing and communication.”
The judges praised Trinitas for the enormous positive growth they’ve shown during the recession and their unique integration of marketing, communication and operations. Apart from the fact that they are a full service agency, they also provide BCI (Business Component Integration) as a service to their clients. This entails ensuring that every part of a client’s business works together to ensure strategic alignment and have a positive influence on their net profit.
The Services SETA believes that marketing is a management process which identifies and anticipates customer requirements effectively and efficiently and is also a process of planning and executing the distribution of services to and within organisations. This they believe is done in order to create and maintain relationships which will satisfy individual and organisational objectives.
Because the majority of its members fall within the SME category, the Services SETA has implemented the SME Premier Marketing Awards initiative – aimed specifically at the SME sector. It recognises the fact that a Reward and Recognition process dedicated to these sectors is an important vehicle in terms of both encouraging marketers in small and medium-sized businesses to strive for excellence in the marketing services arena and also to facilitate the development, empowerment and further skills development of those people and organisations.
In its quest to maximise service delivery of all stakeholders in the services sector, the Services SETA, in Partnership with Kirkpatrick & Associates, has taken the initiative in implementing a marketing awards program to identify and recognise outstanding achievements in marketing activities. Small and Medium Enterprises have a unique approach to the marketing of their services and products, and these important factors have been taken into account in determining the parameters for recognising innovative marketing in this sector.
The award criteria for this program focus on the clever application of any aspect of marketing that has contributed to the success of the company. In its broadest sense, this applies to market research, identifying the target market, product and service development, branding, advertising, communication, pricing, promotions, media programming and relations, print, use of technology, customer management and PR. It also includes how successfully the company has marketed itself internally to its employees.
To ensure the success of the awards program, the Services SETA has secured full support and buy-in from a broad stakeholder base and has appointed a representative Steering Committee to oversee the program in conjunction with the Services SETA. The Steering Committee has appointed an Adjudication Body, comprising of a panel of judges, carefully selected for their expertise in the principals of marketing across all disciplines and for their in-depth understanding of the application of those principals within the SME sector. Entry criteria and an adjudication process have been developed in line with the parameters set by the adjudication body.
